Importance Of Vitamin D And What Is It
Added to my list of “nerdy” hobbies recently is Vitamin D. I was unaware of how important it was and how most never get enough of it. You can eat healthy, exercise, and take a multivitamin and your never going to reach your beneficial Vitamin D blood levels. Foods for the most part contain no Vitamin D unless we look to certain fish to eat and then still it would not be enough.
Most everyone says to me “It’s only a vitamin, why the obsession?” or they call me “The Vitamin D nut” but it really isn’t a vitamin or a nutrient, it’s a prohormone. Books, books, and more books as well as reading lots of online material I think I may have a pretty good grasp on how important this substance is to our bodies and why we need to be asking our doctor to test us and our children for Vitamin D levels.
